First Post

My first post. Title is a quote from Joachim Gauck, talking about his experience in 1989. I am trusting the FAZ in this case, did not double check the quote - which I will eventually do. Translation is a bit tricky I think.... "The slow tilting of Angst into courage". or is it : "(Noticing) the situation slowly sliding from Angst into confidence." ?

There is a lot of Angst in Germany at the moment. I am also often very afraid of various things. Courage and confidence are thus highly welcome. I hope that by running this blog, I can work up some courage and confidence.

Language of this blog: English. I am more concise when I use English. At least I like to think that this is the case.
